Esquire Recruiting COVID-19 Guidance for Candidates – FAQs

Please see below the answers to some commonly asked questions regarding the hiring process with our client companies. As Esquire continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 outbreak, we will continue to update this page on developments.

What are Esquire Recruiting and their client partnerships doing about coronavirus (COVID-19) to ensure the safety of employees and new hires?
The safety and wellbeing of our candidates and client partnerships is currently our number one priority. We’re continuously monitoring the situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) and receiving specialist advice in response to the latest government and public health information. That means implementing changes in our ways of listening to, working, and rethinking ways for our clients to handle interviewing and onboarding.

Are our clients hiring during the pandemic?
Yes, but at a much slower rate than before we got hit with the Coronavirus. This is an evolving situation, and while our priority is to support our critical time-sensitive searches, we are seeing a trend for companies to hire temporaries to fill in on a short-term basis.

How do I apply for positions through Esquire?
Please visit our job posting page at www.esquire-recruiting.com or follow us on Linkedin.com www.linkedin.com/company/esquirerecruitingllc

When will you tell me how my application is progressing?
Many of our client companies are continuing to keep the interviewing process moving forward by conducting videoconference interviews. Offers are taking longer and many may not be extended until there is more clarity on the lifting of home sheltering. It sounds like much of this will be on a state by state basis.

Should I expect any delays at this time?
Unfortunately, you may experience delays in the application process. This is a constantly changing situation, but we know you may be anxious, and we’ll do everything we can to keep you informed with all updates.

Will social distancing and working from home have an impact on the interview process?
Yes. Following government advice, our clients are not conducting face-to-face interviews.

How will you conduct interviews?
There are several ways we can interview you including Zoom, Skype, and phone. Our clients are keeping us informed on how they intend to conduct interviews.

What is the timeline I can expect from the interview to offer?
We cannot give you a guaranteed timeline at present, but rest assured we’ll keep you informed at every stage of the process.

Will I be expected to work onsite or in the office when I join?
All our client companies are following current government guidelines to keep all their employees and future employees as safe as possible, and they intend to treat you with the same care

If I need to work from home, how will I obtain the equipment I’ll need?
Most of our client companies are shipping out equipment via FedEx

I have children who need my care. Will this have an impact on my starting a new role?
Most of our clients are suggesting that they will extend the same care they show to existing staff. If you can’t work on-site due to illness, self-quarantine, state-mandated sheltering, travel disruption, the need to look after dependents, or because you have an increased risk relating to COVID-19, our clients have been making accommodations to work remote.
